“Birch Trees” 1-2-3 Original Oil Paintings on Gallery Wrapped Canvas by Nora Harvey – Artist

When we were hiking on the Bruce Trails by Lion's Head on
the Bruce Peninsula last year, I took several close up photos of the tree
trunks of Birch trees as I loved the colours and textures in them. Now, I have
some time to post my original photos and my set of three original oil paintings
of my Birch Tree series. I hope you like them just as much as I loved creating
them! Thank you for checking them out and in-advance for sharing them!

Birch trees have many meanings, here is only a few:

"The birch tree has much symbolism and some of this
symbolism include growth, renewal, stability, initiation, adaptability, a new
beginning, regeneration, hope, new dawn, and the promise of what is to
come."

"As the birch is a pioneer species this gives it a
symbol of rebirth, new beginnings and growth. It's a sacred tree within the
mythology of the Celts and is thought to have very protective influences."

"In Celtic mythology, birch is also a tree of
beginnings and came to symbolise renewal and purification."
